Local Outreach
Reaching our Jerusalem
Reaching

Local missions is an ongoing effort of Applewood Baptist Church.

INVITE! The church outreach process is carried out through the Life Application groups. Every member is encouraged to invite people around them; friends, relatives, work associates and neighbors to come to a Life Application group and worship.

Applewood is also involved in planting churches in the Denver metro area.
Have you heard about these new churches?

• High View Church – in downtown Denver, Brad and Haley Hovis, www.highviewchurch.com

• The Gathering – in Roxborough Park, David and Amy Jarboe, www.trulylive.org

• Stone Creek Church – in Broomfield, John and Pam Carroll, stonecreek@inbox.com

• Inside Out Church – in Fort Collins, Nate and Erin Templin, thetemplin@gmail.com

Applewood is actively involved in these churches and church starts. We are supporting them financially, praying for them and even sending teams to prayer walk in their areas. Pastor Calvin also plans to mentor these pastors every month in a group setting. You can personally encourage the pastors with a letter or an email. For more information on the churches, visit their websites or pick up a copy of our weekly prayer sheet from the information display in the south foyer. Please pray as we strive to 'reach our Jerusalem.'

Short-term projects are often developed and completed by various groups within the church. For information on getting involved in a local project, start with your Sunday school class. Dave Brown, Sr. Associate Pastor, oversees church outreach. You may also wish to check our World Missions page for international missions opportunities.
