Reaching Our Jerusalem is so important to our existence as a church that we are making a change from Sunday School as we know it to "Life Application Groups", the new standard for reaching people and teaching the Bible. Many of the same fundamental principles of Bible study remain with a new emphasis on the work of reaching people week in and week out. Initially, Life Application Groups will meet onsite during the existing Sunday school hour, but new offsite groups meeting at other times can be formed.
Life Application Groups are designed to do four important tasks:
1. Guide group members to reach new people by sharing Christ or inviting them to join in Bible study.
2. Engage members and guests in Bible study that is transformational and life changing.
3. Involve members in ministry outside their group meeting time.
4. Multiply themselves by starting new Life Application Groups when ready.
(Note: Children's and Preschool Sunday school classes will continue to meet on Sunday morning and be called Children's Bible Teaching Groups and Preschool Bible Teaching Groups)

Student Classes
Life Application Groups for students are a great way to get into the Bible with small groups. Our student groups are organized for a meaningful learning experience. Students meet in a large group at the beginning but dismiss to small groups described below. All student classes meet in the north building on the third floor.
The Kid Zone on Sunday morning is a great place for kids to learn about the Bible and timeless truths they will carry for life. Our children are grouped according to the grade they currently attend in school. All classes meet on the lower level of the north building.
In the children’s division we strive to keep the highest safety standards possible. To help us with this please escort your children to their classroom. If necessary to cross the street, please use caution and stay in the crosswalk with your children.
Children's Bible Teaching Groups meet in the building on the north side of 32nd Avenue, on the lowest level.
The Preschool Bible Teaching Groups are an important place and time for young children. Applewood Baptist Church desires to teach foundational Bible truths in a safe and comfortable environment, so we are glad you are here. Please see a preschool supervisor to check your child(ren) in before going to the classroom.
