Our Senior Adults are committed to serve the Lord and enjoy many different ministries! We are thankful for everyone who volunteers his/her time and effort to the Lord’s service!

Our Senior Sunday School meets on the main level of the south building, with easy access for our seniors. There are several classes for you to choose from, depending on your needs and preferences. Sunday school is at 9:30 AM every Sunday.

B.A.L.L. Club meets once a month (September through May) with an average attendance of 65. B.A.L.L. Club stands for "Be Active, Live Longer." An interesting and entertaining program is presented each month followed by a delicious luncheon. No reservations are required (cost is $4 per person.) There is always music and we close with a short devotional time.

The purpose of our Homebound Ministry is to make contact with and visit people who are unable to attend church or Sunday School regularly. We minister to these individuals through visits, cards, or calls.

The Care Center Ministry is a vital ongoing ministry. Several people conduct services in retirement centers and nursing homes weekly or monthly. The people are appreciative of our ministry.

The Heritage Singers Senior Choir presents concerts in retirement centers and nursing homes from September through May. What a blessing it is to sing for the people in these settings! All seniors are welcome to join! Rehearsals are Thursdays at 1 PM.

Many of our Seniors participate in the Ladies' Bible Study, the Women’s Missionary Union, Prayer Ministry, Glorieta Conference for Seniors, the ROMEO Club and other church functions.

We are greatly appreciative of what our Seniors contribute to many ministries at Applewood Baptist Church.
