The Preschool Ministry is under the supervision of Missy Kintzel, Education Associate. She works with Preschool Supervisor Cheryl Rogers who is responsible for the Preschool during all regular church activities and special events.
We teach children ages birth through Kindergarten while parents are involved in worship, Bible study, or other special events. Kindergarteners are included in the Preschool Sunday school, but attend worship with their parents. We provide a loving, God-centered environment where preschoolers will learn the basic bible truths that will be the foundation of their faith for a lifetime!
Our key verse is I Timothy 3:14-15, "You, however, continue in the things which you have learned and become convinced of, knowing from whom you have learned them, and that from childhood you have known the sacred writings (scriptures) which are able to give you the wisdom that leads to salvation through faith which is in Jesus Christ."
Care is provided for most church-wide events. Please call the Preschool office for availability.
Sunday
Sunday School 9:30 AM
Using Lifeway Family Bible Study curriculum, we employ solid Biblical teaching, and loving, encouraging teaching methods. Our teachers plant the seeds of faith and love that we pray will eventually lead to a saving knowledge of Jesus christ. Our Sunday school classes are grouped according to age or developmental stage.
Extended Teaching Care 8:00 & 11:00 AM
We provide extended teaching care (ETC) for ages birth through pre-kindergarten during the worship services.
Sunday evening
We provide care for your preschooler during scheduled evening activities. During the school year, older preschoolers attend Awana. Awana has two groups for preschoolers: Puggles for ages 2 to 3 yrs, and Cubbies for older 3's and 4 yr-olds.
Tuesday
Ladies' Bible Studies
We care for and teach the children (birth through kindergarten) of the mothers attending the Friendship Connection Bible Study during the school year. Care is provided for both the morning and evening Bible studies.
Wednesday
6:15 PM
We combine a variety of activities including music, missions interest, outdoor activities, and group play in a relaxed and fun setting for preschoolers whose parents are involved in choir, orchestra, discipleship, special events, or other scheduled church ministries.
Older Preschoolers: Preschool Tiny Tunes Choir meets from 6:15 to 7 PM, followed by TeamKid from 7 to 8 PM.
Younger Preschoolers are care for from 6:15 PM to 8 PM during adult activities.
Thursday
The Applewood MOPS group meets on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays from 9 to 11 AM in the Chapel. You can download a registration and information packet here.
