Getting involved at Applewood is as simple as attending a Sunday school class, Bible study, fellowship group, or joining a ministry team.

1. Sunday School

Sunday school is the best place to develop relationships with others as you continue learning and growing in Christ. There are many classes for adults to choose from, and classes for all the family as well. Find out more at Sunday School.

2. First Impression

FirstImpression2

First Impression is a class that will introduce you to Applewood. You'll meet Pastor Calvin, get to ask questions, and generally get an overview of who we are. First Impression is scheduled every other month, usually on the first Sunday, at 9:30 AM in the Hospitality Room. If you'd like to be notified of the next scheduled class, click here.

3. Starting PointStartingPoint2

For those interested in more information or in membership, Starting Point is a 4-week series where you will find out all about Applewood Baptist Church. We talk about our beliefs, our organization, our vision, and you can ask questions. The class meets for 4 Sundays in the Hospitality Room at 9:30 AM. If you'd like to be notified of the next scheduled class, click here.

SHAPEDuring the last week of Starting Point, you will complete a S.H.A.P.E. Workbook which will help you discover or review your Spiritual Gifts, Heart for Service, Aptitudes, Personality and Experiences that have uniquely prepared you for ministry.

4. Serving at Applewood

MinistryPrepWorskshops1There are many areas where you can serve! After completing a S.H.A.P.E. Workshop, you will be better able to choose an area of service, because you'll know where you fit. We encourage every member to be involved in ministry, so to investigate your options, try these links.

In addition, there will be Ministry Prep Workshops scheduled periodically. The workshops will be led by staff members and help you understand the specific requirements and responsibilities of positions in their ministry.
